Quick: Better '09 - Kershaw or Cueto?

I like the fact that Kershaw pitches in a pitchers park, but Cueto might be more prepared for this season. What think ye? Just a couple hours before the keeper deadline...

My pick is Kershaw. Looked better last year, more talent overall, higher ceiling. And like you said, the hitters park makes the differnece for home runs. 29 HRs last year is a lot. Cueto should improve a little bit, but I would pick the Dodger first.

they both have risks. i think Cueto is maybe more likely to have the better numbers, but i dont trust that Baker is his manager plus that park he plays in.
they both had good K rate last season. Cueto- 8.17 K/9. Kershaw- 8.36 K/9. but Cueto walked less batters. Cueto- 3.52 BB/9. Kershaw- 4.35 BB/9.
they both could have high potential, but they could both just as easily have ERA's into the 4's with bad WHIP from too many walks. the deciding factor might just be that Cueto pitches in CIN compared to Kerhsaw in LA plus the Baker factor in possibly overworking Cueto.
id have to go with Kershaw.

Kershaw. His upside is higher, plays in a pitchers park, and perhaps most importantly, doesn't have Dusty as his manager.

Cueto is the better bet to log more innings, if he stays health, and to have a better whip, but Kershaw's upside is just too good.

Please return the favor:

Does anyone know what kind of cap the Dodgers are putting on Kershaw's innings pitched this year?

I like Cueto as much as the next guy, maybe more so even, but I think I'd lean mildly toward Kershaw because of home ballpark and division. It can't be overlooked that road division games will be pitched at PETCO and AT&T. I also like that Kershaw is a GB high K pitcher where as Cueto is a FB high k pitcher. As far as value... I'd imagine Cueto is going way behind Kershaw but haven't looked at the MDP's, but if that's the case, I'd take Cueto, however it sounds more like a who to keep question, if rounds aren't attached, keep Kershaw. If you have a second, I could use some help with mine. Thanks in advance.
