yahoo live draft question

Postby Spidey » Sat Mar 21, 2009 9:30 am

I have a live draft tonight at 6:30 pm. My 10yr old son has been asking to join the league. I had an opening this year so I let him join. I didn't want him creating a yahoo ID so I let him use my wifes who is also in the league.

The questions...

Will having in essence 2 teams affect how the live draft will work for my wife.
Will she be able to draft her own players as well as players for his team that he wants
Will live draft not work at all like this.
Will I have to delete his team, create a yahoo profile for him, then have him join(I only have 2 pc's so he would not be able to do live draft)

any ideas on how this will work. Please help as soon as possible, I should have thought about this before I let him create a team.

I am not even sure how you pulled off signing up two teams under your wifes ID to begin with. Just sign him up for a new ID, it takes 30 seconds, why risk screwing things up for everyone?

You can have multiple teams in the same league owned by the same Yahoo ID. You can imagine why lots of leagues might not like this, but it is possible.

If you stay this way, they can both live draft without problem. At the time of the draft, if you go to each individual team page and click the link to enter the draft, you should end up with two separate draft clients running, one for each team.

Thanks all for your help. I ended up creating a yahoo profile for my son. I was panicking and figured this would be the cleanest way to do it. I found my old lap top and got that working so all 3 of us participated in the live draft. My 10 year old son didn't do too bad, and I gave him zero help. He surprised me, already he's talkin smack... ;-D

I'll never live it down if he ends up beating me though... !+)
