I have 13 of my 15 keepers selected, and now I'm trying to decide on my last 2 keepers among the following. I have $39 to spend.
Konerko(1B) - $22 A. Gordon(3B) - $17 Mora(3B) $7 CM Wang(SP) - $17 Myers(SP) $30
This is a 12 team 5x5 roto. We start all the normal positions, with the addition of a 4th OF, and Infielder, and a DH. We also start 5 SP. I already have Morneau at 1B, Gordon and Mora are my only potential 3B keepers, and my other starters being kept are Peavy, Cain, and Garza. I also have the 2nd pick in the upcoming draft.
Here are my other keepers; C- Martin 1B - Morneau 2B - J. Lopez OF - Hamilton, Cruz, Nady, Choo, Milledge SP - Peavy, Garza, Cain RP - Nathan, B. Wilson
After these guys I have $39 left to spend on 2 of the players listed above.
IMO Wang is one of the most overrated players in baseball. hes going to have an ERA high 3 to low/mid 4's. his WHIP is going to be into the 1.3's because he gives up alot of hits. he doesnt get many K's. all he really does is get wins based on the Yankees run support.
Gordon is one for sure. Mora is out, hes allready 37 years old and not worth it. Myers isnt worth it at that price. then it comes down to the overrated Wang or Konerko. Konerko is better than he was last season. he had a real low BABIP of .247 which i think if i remember reading right was the lowest amoung regular players. his overall stats arnt very good (.240AVG/59R/22HR/62RBI) but he was much better in the 2nd half (.270AVG/31R/13HR/28RBI). i would expect his usual type numbers in 2009, 30-35 HR, 90-100 RBI, .270ish AVG. you have to consider wheather you want those stats or what Wang could give you from what i mentioned ealier.

You corrected me on Wang (lol I said Wang), I dont read much into Yankees playes since I can't stand the Yankme's I see wins and somewhat decent ERA, but Konerko is good but with Morneau he isnt really needed and you can draft a better Utility player, Myers is way overpriced, he could be a stud, be I think he is off mentally, and Mora is too damn old, I would probably still stick with Gordon and Wang and make sure I draft pitchers to cover wang deficiencies, like Kuroda or Maholm
