ARod or A. Ramirez?

12 team 5x5 Roto: I have Aramis Ramirez (and Ian Stewart as the only 3B on my bench) - he has ARod. Should I make a deal?

I have a solid team, all around, and should be able to deal with the limited production. Andy LaRoche is an FA, and if his spring training appears to convert in to the regular season in a hot streak, I'd grab him ASAP.

I wouldn't do it, but if you believe all of this controversy won't affect him pull the trigger. He is a great hitter even now, look at him after the all-star break last year. If he gets back healthy you could have top-10 production from him. However, that is a big if.

ARam is one of the safest bets at 3B. He consistently posts very good numbers. IF ARod comes back when he's supposed to and IF he posts his usual elite numbers immediately after returning he'd likely end the year with slightly better numbers than ARam.

ARam is simply a much safer bet considering the situation. You don't have a whole lot to gain from this and by doing it you'd be taking on a fair amount of risk. I don't see the point.
