It might be time to grab Arredondo

Fuentes has not been looking very good the past few outings. He just gave up 5 runs in two thirds of an inning. I know it is only ST but those are the kind of outings that has to worry you. Probably a good idea to grab Arredondo if he is still available.

Are you referring to the game today against the dbacks? I was at the game and Fuentes pitched 1 inning and gave up no runs??? Granted his ERA is 12.27...but then again, it is just spring training.

I agree w/ poster above. We've learned to pretty much ignore ST numbers. You have to wait until the season starts until you can gauge a performance of a player. A lot of times the pitchers just "play" with their arsenal of pitches to assess their control etc.
Arrendendo is the future closer, but I do not think he is ready to close for a top contending team in the Angels.

I agree. You need should ignore ST numbers. But there is also a point where you have wonder what is going on. When a pitcher is consistently bad than I wonder if he is having arm problems. It was good to see a strong outing from him.
