Tejada and Nomar, what to do?

Postby StandingRoomatFenway » Tue Mar 09, 2004 7:09 pm

Ok, I'm new to roto, here's my team in a 12 team league counting HR, RBI, BA, SB, R and ERA, WHIP, W, K, SV

C - Kendall
1B - Ortiz
2B - A. Kennedy
3B - Ensberg (popular around here)
SS - Nomar
OF - Vlad, Ichiro, Giles
UTIL - Tejada
BN - Jenkins, M. Bradley

SP - Zito, Maddux
RP - Wickman, L. Hawkins
P - Ponson, Wakefield, Milton
BN - D. Riske, R. Soriano, E. Jackson

Ok, I like my OF, but I'm thinking I need to move either Nomar or Tejada for some pitching. Do I need an ace or a closer more? Also, some players still available as FAs - J. Gerut, and pitchers - Looper, Kolb, R. Wagner, Valverde, Ayala, Affeldt, Speier, Lopez, Leskanic.
Any sleepers there?

Thanks in advance.

Without holds pick either Looper or Knolb and drop LaTroy... you might shop one of your stud SS for a equaly stud SP.

I like Ayala as a sleeper pitcher. I also think that you should ship off Tejada for a stud SP. The dropoff from Tej to Jenkins won't hurt you as much as a stud SP will help.

Definitely move Tejada before Nomar. Being a fellow Sox Fan you know how much Nomar rules and the season that is ahead of him. Another solid starter wouldn't hurt.
