I like the trade for you, but I would try to swap out Damon for something else. You really have no place to play Damon so he is kind of useless. I think Lackey would be a huge upgrade over Verlander and I think SP is a weakness on your team so that part of the trade makes sense for you, you just need to try to squeeze something more useable out of him.

I wouldn't... I don't see Tejada as an upgrade over Drew at ALL, Damon is eh, and Verlander, I think, is poised for a rebound....

You're getting rid of a ton of youth with potential for some broken down injury risks. Keep what you have.
