Prospect Trade - Dynasty league

Ok so I'm in a 24 team dynasty league and I'm currently in a building mode.

I have a glut of good young OF and a shortage of near majors pitching.

I was offered the following in trade and curious as to what you guys think.

I give up

Jake Arrieta
Jeremy Hellickson
Josh Reddick

I get

Brett Cecil
James McDonald

I'm having a hard time outright saying no to this trade. I give up a bit more in talent, but think that McDonald and Cecil have a little higher chance to be decent MLB pitchers. I think that Arrieta probably has the highest upside from the group though.

What do you all think?

That is pretty much where I am. I don't think any of the other guys have the upside of Arrieta.

For me it depends on what year your building mode ends.

Is it next year or 2011 or beyond?

If you are building for 2011, I would stand pat.

If you are building for 2010, I would rather have Cecil and McDonald who will both be up this year and getting some work.

The goal is contention for 2010 and beyond. As it sits right now my staff is missing a key piece and that is an ace. I have a few guys with that potential in Carmona, Morales, and Price but no one clear cut as of yet. I think that Arrieta could possibly be an ace as well.

That being said, this league being so big is won on having consistency through out the lineup and having a staff of 3-4 #2-3 type guys will just about lock up a championship. I think that Cecil and McDonald are more safe in that regard. Hellickson and Arrieta are more of a longer shot I feel.
