Wow talk about scoring huge with Sizemore and then throwing it all away by taking morneau.

I doubt you will see Sizemore at 12.

I have drafted in this slot last week and I can tell you will prob have Tex/Howard/Santana/Lincecum and perhaps Rollins (have seen him around this late on more than one occasion).

If Rollins is around I think you would be sitting pretty with Rollins and your choice of Howard/Tex, depending on whether you like the AVG or the HR/RBI.

I think the question you have to be ready for is that if Rollins is off the board will you consider taking Howard and Tex.

Excellent post. Would I consider taking Howard and Tex? Yes. In our league we have Double Plays Turned as a scoring category (goofy, yes, but our commish loathes the DH and wants to devalue real DHs in our league as much as possible) and we have a UTIL position. Because of that it is an advantage to play a 1B at UTIL (and MI to a lesser degree) so having two power hitting 1B isn't a bad thing.

He's my fear...that the following players are the first 11 off the board:

HanRam, Pujos, Reyes, Wright, Sizemore, Braun, MCab, Utley, JRoll, Kinsler, Tex

That leaves me with Howard (or Tex if someone takes Howard over him) and...

That's what I'm trying to figure out. I absolutely will not draft Lincecum or Santana there. Won't do it. I don't see an OF worth that spot, though Hamilton's ADP puts him right there. I don't see any other 1B worth it, or any other 2B, SS, 3B, or C. So ultimately I hope things don't play out this way but if they do I'm still not 100% sure who that second pick would be. That's pretty scary considering the draft is coming up on Monday.

Bump.

Anyone else out there recently pick at the #12 spot? Who did you take? Or even if you didn't pick at #12 do you remember who went at #12 and #13 in your draft?

I drafted #12 and ended up taking Howard and Tex. This was a few weeks ago when Utley was a big ? I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out though. Can't complain with that much Power.

I'm not afraid of taking Hamilton at #12. Sell at the ASB, though.
