Postby Maris09 » Fri Mar 20, 2009 1:10 pm

I'm a little weak at 3B and CI for that matter.
Should I trade Matt Holliday & Zach Greinke for Miguel Cabrera?

This is a great trade when looking at value, but you are pretty weak at SP so you have to be careful not to hurt yourself too much. who is avaliable in FA that you would pick up. I would probably do the trade and then try to find a SP with some upside.

help me please me

unfortunately i don't think you can... i think you can cover what you lose in the OF, but your SP is already a little shaky and losing Greinke makes it down right unpredictable... you have a bunch of injuries on that staff and losing Greinke if one goes down your going to be in even more trouble then what you think... beltre yes is no miggy, but hes been solid and consistant, maybe if he would throw an arm in i would but i can't see you able to be good with that trade...

help me out.. question on the 2nd page...

What pitchers are available on the WW.

In terms of value, it is a great trade for you, but your SP is weak to begin with, so you might end up doing more damage to your team overall.

I would still lean towards doing the move though.

Wow you guys are killing my pitching! :-D

I actually thought it was ok.
Billingsly and Wainwright are great, Carpenter looks like he may regain his ace form, Bedard is in a contract year and will most likely end up with someone like the Dodgers after the trade deadline, and Slowey looks like he's rounding into a potential stud.
Even without Greinke I feel like this is a decent staff.

There's actually not much on the wire, however I'm not really worried about that aspect of it.
Guys pop up all year.

Best available are Sean Marshall, De La Rosa, Bonderman, Duchsherer, Sonnanstine, Kawakami, Anthony Reyes.

That's kind of what I was thinking.
I think my pitching will be fine.

Though I really do think Holliday has a monster year, especially if/when he is traded at the deadline. Who knows where he ends up.
