Hey guys, I've got my keeper league draft coming up soon, and I need to decide between Clayton Kershaw and Ervin Santana. It's a 14 team 5x5 roto league and we keep 5 at their draft round values (so 70 players kept in total). The plan was to keep Santana at 21st round value, but his recent injury woes have me thinking about Kershaw instead @ 23rd round value.

Here are my keepers with their draft round values in brackets:

David Wright (NYM - 3B) (1)
Jason Bay (Bos - LF) (8)
Ervin Santana (LAA - SP) (21)
Carlos Quentin (CWS - LF,RF) (22)
Alexei Ramirez (CWS - 2B,SS,CF) (23)

Or

Kershaw (LAD - SP) (23)

another vote for Ervin...but it is close for me....I love Kershaw's upside ;-D

wow, tough choice honestly. i almost view it as 50/50. i think ervin since he has better proven stuff and is still quite young.

Santana thinks he'll be ready for the start of the season. That might be a little ambitious but it doesn't look like he's going to miss substantial time. I like Kershaw but I just couldn't see taking him over Santana unless the injury was more severe.
