#2 waiver spot, Should I use it?? WHIR

Postby captain num nuts » Fri Mar 20, 2009 6:53 am

I have the #2 waiver spot and Ryan Zimmerman is on waivers should I pick him up or save my waiver spot for someone else.

C: McCann
1B: Votto
2B: Alexei Ram
SS: Aviles
3B: Chris Davis
OF: Beltran
OF: Holliday
OF: Dunn
OF: Bay
Util: Ibanez
Bench: Cantu, Wieters, Carlos Guillen and Church

I'm thinking of dropping Church to pick up Zimmerman, and then trade either Cantu, Guillen or Zimmerman to the team that only has Arod at 3rd base.
Thanks for the help! WHIR

id wait til he clears..not a huge fan of saving waiver ALL YEAR but id hold off on this one..zim worth owning and should come back and all but he might clear then you can do same swap as FA and hold the waiver

I'd say no, you have a good 3B and Util guy so just wait it out and see if he clears. Save that #2 for someone better.

I agree. Wait it out and see if he clears. You don't really need him.

I agree with everyone else... zim is worth a pickup if he clears waivers, but don't use your priority on him.. he plays a position you don't need and he's not that great..

no way. use the waiver on zimmerman. you're not going to get anyone better than him on the waivers.

its a tought call... i say no for one simple fact, you have Davis at 3B who i think is gonna have a great year... and also cuz i just used my #4 on ankiel in a 20 team keeper, and 2 days later some idiot dropped David Price... Zimmerman is worth a pickup, just not a #2 waiver pick... if he clears snatch him up, if not don't spoil a potential top pickup on zimmy...

help me out... question on 2nd page...

Must be a YAHOO League. Yahoo Leagues are full of fools dropping talented players such as Zimmerman. Zimmerman is definitely worth the waiver move and personally would make the move to obtain him. Sure there potentially could be others with more value dropped but Zimmerman is a player who should produce very good numbers this year and I would not take the risk waiting on another.
