Keeper league...Keep Arod, sacrifice 1st round pick? WHIR

Ok this is kind of a repeat thread, but a different question now with arod sidelided for god knows how long....

i have a keeper league that is in its 9th year, we keep 5 and then sacrifice the pick we originally drafted the person from next year if we keep him (example: manny drafted in 3rd round in 2005= if he is kept in 09, he replaces my 3rd round pick)

my question....everything else aside, ive had arod for 5 years and want to keep him, but it will cost me (again) my first round pick....is it time to let him go or just suck it up and hold on to him...DRAFT IS SATURDAY MORN!

Well since it's a keeper league all the typical 1st/2nd round types are gone, I assume. So you'd be using your 1st round pick on a guy who is really a 3rd rounder, presumably. Even if A-Rod misses a month he is as good if not better than any 3rd rounder, plus you have 2010, 2011 to think about. I say keep A-Rod.
