I am in a Yahoo 12 team H2H leagues that scores pitching on W,ERA,SV,K's,WHIP
My Staff
SP=Chad Billingsley
SP=Jamie Shields
RP=Joe Nathan
RP=Joakim Soria
P=Joey Devine
P=Brad Ziegler
P=Oliver Perez
BN=John Smoltz
At the bginning of the season Smoltz is going to the DL
I want to drop Oliver Perez since his ERA and WHip are horrible and have been researching these pitchers on waivers
Starters (Last Season)
Jeremy Guthrie (BAL) 3.63 ERA 1.23 WHIP
Dave Bush (MIL) 4.18ERA 1.14WHIP
Hiroki Kuroda (LAD) 3.73ERA 1.22WHIP
Relievers (Last Season)
Hon-Chih Kuo (LAD) 2.14ERA 1.01WHIP
Dan Wheeler (TB) 3.12ERA .99WHIP
Grant Balfour (TB) 1.54ERA .89WHIP
Takashi Saito (BOS) 2.49ERA 1.19WHIP
Jason Motte (STL) 0.82ERA 0.73WHIP
Jose Arredondo (LAA) 1.62ERA 1.05WHIP
I had Kuo last year and he helped in 3 catagories

I would go Kuroda...you really need another starter, and you might as well go with the LAD opening day starter.

I'm not too up to speed on Guthrie but isn't he a pretty young and talented pitcher? He will probably need to be good for the Orioles. However Kuroda and Guthrie both are probably upgrades over Perez.
Please help.

I'd go with Kuroda. He's gonna get a ton of games against the Pads and Giants, at least, which should limit his ERA and WHIP, and get him a bunch of Wins.

I had someone in a forum say I was stupid for dropping Perez for Kuroda, saying that Perez was the better player because of the Strikeouts and that he played with the Mets, lolI told him how we scored but he still stuck by his claim, lol what a douche
