Here's my team. I desperately need help on this one. Trade advice ( who to go for) would be helpful. I know my strengths and weaknesses pretty well, so I'm mostly looking for advice on how to be competitive. This one guy in my league thinks I will be last. If I were you I would hold on to Kornerko.... with your lack of Power and the fact that you already have Podesnik you don't need Roberts.

Play either Kearns or Kornerko on your UT and if any of them rebounds you will have a free boost on your power stats.

Moreover I would rather use your 1st Waiver pick to get R Biddle and then trade him (or Dotel depending on who you'r getting) to a team desperate for saves like:

Coley's Corndogs and THE LONG DRIVES (they have no closers and there are still like two teams with just one closer)

I would try to either Maggs or C Lee from Coley's

What do you think of Dotel, Kearns and L Walker for Maggs
or Biddle and Kearns (or S Stewart) for C Lee

or you could also go for Long drive's power with

D Lee and R Biddle for R Sexon (take a hit on your cubbie heart and aim for the gold)

I'd make an offer to Long Drives of
Roy Oswalt, J. Nathan, and Derek Lee

Richie Sexson, and Carlos Beltran

My original thought was to offer Mariano Rivera, Austin Kearns and Derek Lee to him for those two players, but I realized his starting pitching a bit weak as well

I've already made an offer of Brad Penny and Shannon Stewart to
Assassins for Corey Patterson (it's been sitting for a while)

Several other thoughts: Emily needs speed badly. If I can get a hold of that guy who gets steal (D. Roberts)
I'd offer her this trade:

Derek Lee and D. Roberts
__ for
Mike Sweeney and Lance Berkman

To Coley's I'd offer :

Shannon Stewart, Joe Nathan, and Larry Walker
__ for
Carlos Lee

I would do the lee roberts for sweeney and berkman, but I would not do stewart, nathan and walker for C. Lee, your giving up way too much. Also don't give up D. Lee and a RP for Sexon because, in Wrigley, D. Lee is going to put up close to the same numbers as Sexon will in AZ, trust me on this one, its not just coming from a fellow Cubs fan, its coming from Mike Lowell.

Thanks, Pizza. I appreciate the advice. Nice to see you crossing over from the oh so oft. visited THis Draft is Insane! post. I think it's funny how it's turned into a post for people to argue the validity of my friend's comment about taking a bunch of other OF'ers ( who are better than or equal to) instead of Vlad.

Yeah it is pretty funny, but it is good. The guys arguing now (like Big Blue) are great to argue with because he (or she) is very civil and knowlegable unlike the earlier "your firends are idiots that ride the short bus" guys. They suck, they don't provide any help just insults to people. So as long as we can attack the arguement and not the arguer it will be fun as well. I think you put it best when you said Go CUBBIES!!!
