I have the #1 pick in an 8-team 5x5 roto league (non-keeper), and have been considering trading down for the right price. I just got offered a 1st and a 4th (#5 and #28) - is that a good enough deal or should I ask for more? Any help is appreciated and WHIR.

that'd should be nice value. Essentially, Hanley or Pujols for maybe Cabrera & someone like Kinsler/Manny/etc.

I dont think anyone will give you a first and a 3rd rounder... it doesn't seem worth it to me for someone to do that

It was offered by the other person.
Yeah, do this trade. Not as good as it would be in a standard 12 teamer but still very good. Hanley to MCab/Braun + Upton/C. Lee/Morneau/Bay is a huge step up, and it'll allow you to safely draft Johan or Lince at the end of the 2nd, or a couple early aces in Peavy/Halladay/Haren//Hamels/Webb in the 4th-6th.

Rocinante2: you know

I like this a lot. You really can't go wrong with those 5-7 guys (MCab, Braun, Sizemore) and if you're lucky, Reyes or Wright could fall and you get another great player at 28.

I do this trade. ADP 5 and 28 is something like Sizemore/M-Cab and Pedroia/Carlos Lee. I would take Sizemore/M-Cab and Pedroia/C. Lee for Hanley.
