I don't think people are giving Bay the credit he deserves & I think that Bay is closer in talent than most people think, It isn't a no-brainer which is why you had to make this post. Lee doesn't steal bases anymore while Bay should steal at least 10 this season. If it were me I would have to take Lee over Bay only because Lee is batting 4th & Bay is batting 6th. There is a big advantage in hitting 4th over 6th. Hopefully Bay will get bumped to at least 5th this season when he starts mashing the ball.

I agree Bay would be well known if he didnt play in Pittsburgh and plus Lee suffers frek injuries during his hot years

Lee is much better than Bay. I'm not even going to go into all the ways how, but he is much better than Bay. The only way I find Bay to be of more value is if Lee goes in the 2nd round and Bay doesn't go until the 5th round, which won't happen. Don't forget 2007 from Bay.

Lee has been injured once. It can't be said he suffers freak injuries during his hot years. His 2007 was a "Hot" year better than Bays 2007. His 2006 was a "Hot" year better than Bays 2006. He only missed one game, read it again, one game, between 2005-2007. One game in 3 full seasons. To say he suffers freak injuries in his hot years is a serious mis-statement.

Unfortunately in fantasy baseball, we don't have a perfect attendance award. We go by standard statistics and Bay's numbers and ADP make him a MUCH better value than Lee. Look at HR, Runs scored, RBI, Line up, SB in combo with the fact that you can get him 2 rounds later... advantage Bay.

Where do you see Bay hitting 6th? All the projections I've looked at have him in the 5 spot.

It's not a matter of taking him "over" Lee. It's a matter of taking someone else and waiting the extra round for Bay for near identical production.

I like Lee a bit better, but I don't think Bay is very far behind. Wouldn't be surprised if Bay performs just as well.

if you can wait ..I have seen him go more than once before Lee

I wouldnt because to me theres enough difference between the two..you can wait for a lot of other OFs later than lee who will be "close" to varying degrees

so is the question now can I avoid OF for a while not pay for lee and not killed? the answer is yes then ;-D I was just comparing the value of the two players specified in my mind

Along the same lines I have seen Lee slip here and there too (apparently worry over last seasons injury?)

Dont know for sure the reason why he was slipping but I drafted him in the 6th round 2 weeks ago (after Bay)

Like them both this year but if it came down to it I would take Lee.
