I'd like to see you deal Oswalt for another pitching or closer more than anything. I think you're well balanced enough on offense, so why move in that direction? Basically, I think this is the year that Oswalt implodes. He struggled greatly at times last year and surely isn't the ace of old. I'm thinking he'll be over 4.00 this year and on the 'Stros, wins aren't gonna make up for the lost value. Why not target guys like Greinke, whom I am probably inordinately high on, or try to trade up for a James Shields type?
My closers are weak, but I usually don't put too much importance on saves. As long as I'm middle of the pack in that cat I'm happy. Plus, with net saves as a category, even though my closers are o0n less than great teams, they are sold pitcher who won't blow too many saves, especially Soria, so I'm happy with that. I might try and move someone for another closer though.
I think you did a nice job , and with closers, some will certainly materialize during the season that you can grab. I agree with you on jiminez, and with the 200th pick, hard to argue.
Thanks for the help. The biggest standout for me in terms of where I'd like to see you improve, or add depth is at 3B. I love your OF, so if you can cross your fingers and hope for a couple good weeks from Wells, I'd try to shuttle him out the door for another 3B such as Adrian Beltre or Alex Gordon. I still hold out hope for Gordon having a legit breakout year. Considering 3B is so top heavy, I think having a couple options and hoping 1 of them puts it together is a good route to go. Otherwise I really like your roster. Good luck.
Like the team. Good balance all around. Closers could be better but Soria is a really good option. You could even steal some points in saves just because it's net saves, so people trying to get some saves with mediocre closers will get punished.
I don't like Kendrick and Wells. I don't think Wandy would be terribly useful in that format either. and Perez also. Otherwise, pretty solid.
I'm in the process of packaging Wells and Atkins for A-Ram and a closer, and I'd drop Perez. So that would sure that up. I don't know about Wendy/ His peripherals keep trending up, I could see him being a solid contributor. Thanks dude.
I ship off Atkins and wells and get back Aramis Ramirez and Joey Devine. I'd then drop Chris Perez for Maybin or Andrus or some other under valued hitter still available. I think I have to do this trade. What do you guys think?
