12 Team Roto. We use Net-Steals, and Net-Saves. 6x6, the extra cats are TB and losses.

Batters
C: Victor Martinez (C,1B)
1B: Joey Votto (1B)
2B: Ian Kinsler (2B)
3B: Garrett Atkins (1B,3B)
SS: Troy Tulowitzki (SS)
OF: Josh Hamilton (OF), Matt Kemp (OF), Vernon Wells (OF)
Util: Justin Upton (OF), Howie Kendrick (2B)
BN: Travis Snider (OF)

Pitchers
SP: Jake Peavy (SP), Roy Oswalt (SP), Matt Cain (SP)
RP: Joakim Soria (RP), Frank Francisco (RP)
P: Ubaldo Jimenez (SP), Chris Perez (RP)
BN: Josh Johnson (SP), Clayton Kershaw (SP), Jordan Zimmermann (SP) NA, Wandy Rodriguez (SP)

In retrospect, I wish this was a Dynasty league. My draft is full of high upside youth. It's a firly stnadard, competitive leauge. I'm not sure about my speed. My pitching is underrated in my opinion. What do you guys think?

Will happily help in return of course.

Thanks, :)

Net-Steals I'm assuming means Stolen Bases minus the number of times caught stealing?
(and Net Saves means Total Saved minus number of blown saves)?

Never seen a format like that....

Anyways, as a former Howie Owie(Kendrick) owner, it's great you have set your expectations correctly (as being on your bench, because that's where "while healthy" players belong).

And I like your pitchers. Not sure what you should expect of C Perez tho. Might want to handcuff that selection with the other options....

I like your team, you could probably use just a little more speed. You wouldn't need to trade for anyone, just watch the WW for some speed guys and slot them into one of your 2 Util roles off and on.

I like your staff alot actually. You have 3 top 25 starters, and enough young pitchers to where it won't matter if a couple don't pan out. Jimenez might be a step below your other starters, so you might look for something better out on the WW. Make sure to jump on possible closers, as you will probably fall behind there as well.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

I highly disagree about Jiminez. He's a huge sleeper IMO, and could easily put up 200 k's with a below 4.00 ERA. Great value for 200th overall pick.

Great, you are okay on steals but not great, the probelem with Jimenez is that he plays for Colorado one season he could have a sub 4.00 era and next season it's at 5.00, Colorado pitchers is a gamble I don't like to take.

Your SPs from top to bottom are strong. Wait on the Stl closer situation before dropping Perez if you do. I think your hitting is well rounded except maybe you can use one more guy who steals. Good job ;-D

i dont trust Wells in the OF. hes ok to have but i would have someone reliable to put in his spot when hes hurt. Snider has potential for power, but dont bet on him repeating his AVG from last season. he had a high BABIP and he strikes out alot. i think he could be closer to .250 than .300 AVG.
if it was me i might consider trading Wells and the value he could have, for someone more reliable, but thats just me. even healthy he is a wild card and you never know what to expect. he could be great like he was in 2006, or he could not be like he was in 2007.
Jimenez could have an ERA below 3 but id expect one more likely into the 4's. his WHIP is a killer. even in the minors he had a high WHIP. his career minor league WHIP is 1.39
