12 Team Yahoo points league. We keep one hitter and one pitcher for two years. I can keep A-Rod or Berkman. I have the 6th pick and also have two 2nd round picks obtained in a trade. Do I take a chance and keep A-Rod or do I play it safe and keep Berkman? My other keeper is Santana.
Need to declare by Friday. Please help. WHIR!

arod... way i look at it you loose him for a month and get 5 solid months out of him this year... so you have to cover 3B with a glaus or somethin for a while, you basically in all seriousness would then have arod stats for 5 1/2 months this year, keep arod, berkman is a stud 1st half and dud 2nd half bat...
help me out....

I would take Berkman. He's a first-half stud and will keep your team in good shape. I would work on some type of trade though to solidify that 3B slot.

A-Rod all day long here for me. A-Rod + 1 month of replacement level > Berkman. I don't know if this is the 1st or 2nd year you'd be keeping A-Rod, but if it's the 1st year next year you'll be kicking yourself when you don't have A-Rod available to keep for 2010.
