Too much? Too little? WHIR

Postby JRAMI » Wed Mar 18, 2009 8:28 pm

I am trying to work a deal with a guy for Chase Utley.
I have offered

R Cano + Adam Jones for Chase Utley ,obviously rejected ,I always start low }:-)

He needs an OF'er

Here are my combos I want can offer. I kinda dont want to go above Hart but if I do ,dont you think its too much??

R Cano + A Jones = REJECTED :-C

R Cano + C Hart = I can live with this ;-)

R Cano + A Rios = Too much? :-?

R Cano + N Markakis = WAY too much right??? 8-o

pl;ease give me your thought, I always return the favor! ;-D

PS I only can afford to give up an OF'er

I would stop after the Rios one

people who own utley generally want you to pay so think youll have to go out of your comfort zone a little but not to Markakis

Your assessment looks spot on - take a stab with Hart and then, if you have to, try with Rios. It may seem like a lot, but that is a fair trade if your ultimate need is at 2B.

Work your way up to the Rios trade. If that would be rejected, I would NOT offer the Markakis trade. (thats too much) If you can afford the loss at OF, then I like all the other deals for you.
