3/15: Seattle Mariners placed LHP Ryan Feierabend on the 60-day disabled list.
So, teams can start doing it now. On that same page, you can see the transactions from previous years, and looking at March of last year, the first one was on 3/12, a few here and there, and then a bunch starting on 3/20 through the end of the month.

For guys that they do not expect back soon, they'll pop up all though the next few weeks. Guys who are expected to be part of the 25 man roster, they usually wait until the last day of spring training.

DL doesn't start soon enough, I drafted Kelvim Escobar to stash on my DL in an AL only league, I can't wait to throw him there and grab some dazzling pitcher like Vicente Padilla
