Draft help

Postby abellone » Tue Mar 17, 2009 9:53 am

I'm new. I'm in a 10 team yahoo league. We draft next week and I have first pick. I will pick Hanley R. Our stats our R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS, W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, QS. Since I won't be picking again until 21 and 22 are there any thoughts. Should I go after more big bats, pitching, or???

Any help would be appreciated.

It really depends on who falls but generally I'd say grab the best two bats at 2/3 and then try to grab someone like Halladay at 4/5.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

with those categories you want to get 2 big bats there. Possibly Santana or Lincecum, but I would grab bats, guys there will be some combo of Longoria, Beltran, Soriano, Berkman, Fielder, Morneau, Manny, Lee. any 2 of those and you will have a great trio of studs to build around.
