Last 2 keepers. WHIR.

Postby tdmel30 » Mon Mar 16, 2009 9:57 pm

10 team, NL-only, 4x4, keeper. $260 auction cap with a $185 keeper cap. Keeper values based on previous years performance. 11 hitters, 9 pitchers, no bench.

I've got room for 2 more keepers and was looking for opinions on the following:

Kuroda - very good ratios and wins should improve
Volstad - you pitcher with very good ratios
C. Perez - possible closer, but has pitched poorly this spring and may not get the closer job.

I had originally had Perez locked in as a keeper, but am not so sure now that he has pitched so poorly this spring. All 3 of the above have about the same cost. I am also keeping Webb, Volquez and Capps.

Thanks in advance. Leave a link and I'll get back to you.

I don't think Kuroda is too bad, but I like the youth of Volstad better in a keeper.

That's been my thought process as well. I'm trying to figure out how much difference there will be between the two this year and if it is small enough to be offset by the long term value. Would you still keep Perez over both of these? Or would I be best served keep Kuroda and Volstad?

I'd go with Volstad and Kuroda

Check out my team?

Agreed. Voldstad (for sure) and Kuroda. Saves are easier to pick up later on anyway, and I don't know that Perez ends up closing anyway with Motte there.

Help w/mine
