Billingsley and Broxton for Fielder WHIR!

Postby sreill » Mon Mar 16, 2009 7:56 pm

CBS H2H

My current staff:

Johan
oswalt
pelfry
sanchez
jiminez

Marmol
Street

I have Berkman, Fielder and Delgado with 2 spots for them

Im trying to trade a 1b for pitching and I was offered Billingsley and broxton for fielder.

Any opinions?

i like it but i dont, SP is too volatile and saves will be found on the wire, even as much as i like both the guys in the offer you can't deal a guy who could bomb 50 Hr's and eat 50 taco's in one game, can you?

thanks for the help on mine, i'm gonna offer up that deal i posted!

Im not sure what I would do in this position. I like Broxton better than Street but I think Delgado is a downgrade from Fielder. I think it really depends on what you value more, offense or pitching. I think Billingsley would be a nice addition however.

I definitley value offense over pitching, but in a head to head league, I think "balance" is the key. If I can beat a guy with 15 homers in a week, then I dont need 20.

Do it. You need the help at sp and rp, and you can't play Delgado if you don't deal.

I would do it because of Delgado.

I'm not on the Delgado Ban Wagon. I wouldn't be surprised in the least bit if he is a free agent come seasons end in 12 team standard leagues.

tough call, but if you need an ace and a closer in a deal that is probably as good as you are going to get, although Fielder is the best player in this deal
