I would try for the guy with Pedroia. Utley is too good to get with Dempster alone and the guy with Pedroia probably has worse pitching anyway. I doubt you can get Pedroia with Dempster alone but maybe something involving Wieters, you might be able to play his hype into getting more than hes worth

I agree. Utley will probably cost you too much. Go after Pedroia. But you would need to package Dempster with someone. I like the Weiters idea, since Sandoval is C eligible.

thanks guys. i understand the wieters thing. the owner with pedroia, its his first year and i highly doubt he will understand the potential value of wieters.

is there anyone else i should try to trade along with dempster? or consider trading a different pitcher?

Why not Dempster, Aviles, and Sandoval for the first taker of the three?

Sandy's only going to have C eligibility this year, and he's a hacker. He's going to get lost in the 1B shuffle starting next year. Aviles is superfluous for you if you get your 2B. You could always drop Drew for a short term C.

Sandy's no where near as valuable as Wieters. I'd led with Sandy first.
