He can succeed with the contact levels he was making last season.. just not what hes doing right now. He looks lost.

I'd bench him for now and expect him to come out of it within a week or so. Anyone who drops him anytime soon is crazy.
Although they are in arlington all of next week so if he shows any good signs on sunday id probably keep him in there.

Oh and I will note that davis struggled in day games last year. The rangers have played 3 day games already with another tomorrow. Same goes for hamilton being a little off.

11 ABs in and I'm already prepared to say that Ken Griffey Jr. is a HOFer. Is that bad? :-b

If you have faith in Davis he is exactly the type of guy that makes a good buy low candidate. He was drafted aggressively in general and most owners probably aren't totally comfortable with where they drafted him in the first place, add in a poor start and you probably can get him cheaper than where he was drafted in a lot of leagues.

I got him in the 12th round (couldn't pass him up there) in a weekly lineup league (cbs), so I'm trotting him out there again next week seeing as he has 6 games IN Arlington against KC and Baltimore. It's early, my only other option is Shin-Soo Choo, and I know if I bench him after a week he will explode. Some other Davis owners will have take one for the team and bench him to get him back on track :-b

It's the first week of baseball and two things are immediatly clear for many of those in the Cafe: 1) Bonifacio is the next Jose Reyes and, 2) Chris Davis is crap.

C'mon Cafe Goers, a little perspective please?

Crazy how Cruz is the one tearing it up right now, and this guy is suckin it!

Davis will turn it around, and the one league I have him in, he will be on the block! It may be one year too early for this cat.
