which of these 2 are the starting CF for Oakland?
which ever one is the starter is he worth drafting in a deeper league? (12 team, 27 roster spots, 324 overall players)
Sweeney doesnt look that appealing. 115 games in 08 had 5 HR/9 SB. maybe in a full season he could have 10-15 HR?/10-15 SB?
2006 AAA in 118 games he had 13 HR with 7 SB (7 CS)
2007 AAA in 105 games he had 10 HR with 8 SB (5 CS)
last season his 9 SB came with only 1 CS, so maybe he doesnt have much more of an upside there.
Davis looks interesting. 29 SB in 2008, 22 in 2007. he has had big totals in the minors.. 06= 45, 05= 45, 04= 57, 03= 40.
last season his AVG/OBP was weak- .260 AVG/ .288 OBP. he did only have a .287 BABIP, but 22 LD%. he has also had better numbers in the past, 07= .279 AVG/ .361 OBP. 06AAA= .283 AVG/ .335 OBP. 05AA= .281 AVG/ .351 OBP.
both are hitting well this spring..
Davis- 13G/29AB= .379 AVG/ .457 OBP/ .690 SLG/
Sweeney- 11G/30AB= .467 AVG/ .529 OBP/ .733 SLG/
i assume Orlando Cabrera will be leading off for Oakland, so whoever starts in Cf will likely bat near the bottom of the order?
