I have to choose 3 keepers to keep from last season - Here are my choices:
Bobby Abreu (LAA - OF) Jason Bay (Bos - OF) Lance Berkman (Hou - 1B,OF) Hank Blalock (Tex - 1B,3B) Shin-Soo Choo (Cle - OF) Adam Dunn (Was - 1B,OF) Aubrey Huff (Bal - 1B,3B) Chris Iannetta (Col - C) José López (Sea - 1B,2B) José Reyes (NYM - SS) Alfonso Soriano (ChC - OF)
Bronson Arroyo (Cin - SP) Jonathan Broxton (LAD - RP) Francisco Cordero (Cin - RP) Zack Greinke (KC - SP,RP) Trevor Hoffman (Mil - RP) Randy Johnson (SF - SP) Pedro Martínez (NYM - SP) Gil Meche (KC - SP) Brandon Morrow (Sea - SP,RP) Oliver Pérez (NYM - SP) Adam Wainwright (StL - SP) Carlos Zambrano (ChC - SP) Brad Ziegler (Oak - RP)
I was thinking definitely of J Reyes and A Soriano but my 3rd is a little harder:
I was thinking someone out of this group but I cant decide who is going to have a monster year:
B Abreu J Bay L Berkman A Dunn
C Zambrano A Wainwright
I was thinking about wainwright because I think this will be a breakthrough year but I can probably get him cheap in the redraft. B Abreu intrigues because of how good he is in each category, L berkman will be good to..... I dont know - any offer any suggestions?
reyes, soriano, berkman. on the older side, but with only 3 keepers and 10 teams there's no reason to sacrifice production this year for potential future stats.

Berkman and Reyes with this format are tremendous so you must protect them. Your third selection is not so straight forward. Its a tossup between Abreu, Bay and Soriano although Soriano is the worst of the group based on last years numbers. Soriano has the biggest name of the group so I would see if there is any trade value. IMO Abreu is probably the best pick here because he is the best pure hitter of the group, but he also provides you the best chance of re-acquiring during the draft (in this format is value is very high). But after saying all of this I guess you still have to go with the best value so stick with Soriano if you cant deal him.
Interesting... Why do you think Berkman is one of the most valuable in this format? He really fell off at the 2nd half of the year. YOu dont think those pitchers are worth it either?
