morneau for rollins trade

Postby bigjakelane » Sun Mar 15, 2009 5:47 pm

I give Jimmy Rollins, Conor Jackson, and Yovanni Gallardo, and in return I get Justin Morneau and Jake Peavy. My team is a follows:
C-Brian McCann
1B-Miggy Cabrera
2B-Ian Kinsler
SS-Jose Reyes
3B-Evan Longoria
LF-Matt Holliday
CF-Grady Sizemore
RF-Corey Hart
Util-Jimmy Rollins
bn-Matt Wieters
bn-Conor Jackson
bn-Jayson Werth
bn-Tori Hunter
SP-Johan Santana
SP-CC Sabathia
SP-Yovanni Gallardo
SP-Adam Wainwright
SP-Scott Baker
RPs-Joel Hanrahan, Heath Bell, BJ Ryan, Frank Francisco, Jason Motte

The trade would give me an obvious improvement in rbi's, but I give up runs and steals. However, in getting Peavy back, I sure up my starting pitching. Do I pull the trigger?

How many teams in this league 4? Your pitching staff looks insane already.................but you can take this trade to upgrade that spot.

Just based on value, I'd do the deal. You could then trade Rollins for some better pieces because shortstop is so thin, or just keep him for the SBs I guess...

Oops, sorry. Yeah, I don't think Morneau is enough to get in return for Rollins.

your getting back morneau and peavy? this is an absolute steal. i really think rollins is overrated, he was a total downer last season, and you have reyes. take it and run.
