edit: instead of making anothe rpost, I'll edit this one...

Justin Verlander 141, Lastings Milledge 148th sound ok?

I like the first 2 and Milledge. I'm not high on either Verlander or Lackey.

I'll post the entire team a little bit later, the round and pick # I got everyone and give you my thoughts on it. I'm pretty happy with it, but I want to see what you think. For now, I'm about to go out to dinner, so that'll have to wait a little bit.

Here it is:

C Victor Martinez (CLE) (10)
1B Miguel Cabrera (DET) Keeper
2B Kelly Johnson (ATL) (15)
3B Chris Davis (TEX) (7)
SS Jimmy Rollins (PHI) Keeper
OF BJ Upton (TB) Keeper
OF Carlos Lee (HOU) Keeper
OF Curtis Granderson (DET) Keeper
UTIL Lastings Milledge (WAS) (13)
B Matt Weiters (BAL) (16)
B Elijah Dukes (WAS) (19)
B Clint Barmes (COL) (21)

SP John Lackey (LAA) (6)
SP Josh Beckett (BOS) (8)
RP Jonathan Broxton (LAD) (11)
RP Matt Lindstrom (FLA) (18)
P Huston Street (COL) (17)
P Yovani Gallardo (MIL) (9)
PJustin Verlander (DET) (12)
B Manny Parra (MIL) (20)
B Josh Johnson (FLA) (14)

Picks I hate: Really just the one, Lackey in the 6th round. No reason to take him there. He would have been drafted before it got back to me, but I could've gotten a similar pitcher later. You don't have to tell me, I ****ed this pick up.

Picks I like: Gallardo in the 9th, Martinez in the 10th, Milledge in the 13th, Weiters in the 16th, Dukes in the 19th, Parra in the 20th. I think I got some good value out of all of these picks.

I took Barmes with the last pick there, I figure if he's got a starting job, I can at least plug him in at 2B or SS when one of my guys has a day off. I've got a lot of outfielders so if these guys pan out, I can make some trades, and once Weiters gets to the bigs, I may need to move him or Vic Martinez. I think my pitching is pretty good, but a few of these guys may go one way or another.

What do you tihnk of the team? Any picks (besides Lackey, of course,) that you think I shouldn't have taken where I took them?

Definitely a team that can contend. I would dump Barmes for the best available RP (who has a chance to close). Street hasn't been doing all that great in ST so Corpas has the inside track on the COL closer gig.

The only real guys like that available are Corpas, Jason Motte and Roy Corcoran (and I don't even think Motte and Corcoran are front-runners for the job,) and I'm not wasting a waiver pick on them. What I might do id find a guy like Jonathan Broxton was last year, I drafted him for some extra K's and help with ERA/WHIP, and maybe a spot save or two, and now he's got the gig all to himself. I dunno, maybe a Joel Zumaya or someone like that fills the role. The only reason I'm not running to do that (besides the waiver thing) is because that leaves me completely without a backup infielder. I'm sure I could live without Barmes, but is finding a third closer really my most pressing need here?
