Trying to decide on my last keeper. Conor Jackson ($7) or Hank Blalock ($5)? I was leaning toward Blalock, since he could go nuts if healthy, but Jackson seems very safe and really helps in BA.
Keepers: C (2) 1B 3B CI 2B SS MI OF - Braun $5 OF - Bay $15 OF - Granderson $7 OF - B.Upton $6 OF UT (2) P - Cl.Lee $5 P - C.Billingsley $5 P - J.Chamberlain $9 P - E.Volquez $5 P - J.Cueto $5 P (5) Farm - C.Maybin, B.Wallace, B.Posey
Yeah I would go with Jackson, he only costs you a couple bucks more and he's probably worth it. Blalock may also have a hard time finding ABs when healthy, with Young at 3rd and Davis at 1st. There are plenty of bats on that roster that the team will want in the lineup. It may get crowded at DH.
Jackson for me. He should improve again over last year.
He'll give a few less hr's, but much higher BA and runs, similar RBI's and potentially throw in a handfull of sb's. I'm pretty high on Jackson this year.
I like Conor Jackson here, because I don't trust Blalock to stay healthy, although I do hear he's supposed to pretty much DH the majority of the time, which is the thing that makes this a close decision.
It's close, but I still think Blalock's better upside is good enough to take him here. Hopefully, the DH time does him a world of good as far as getting his AB.
