Keeper Options (WHIR)

Postby mailman32_us » Sun Mar 15, 2009 3:09 pm

H2H Points based Keeper League. I can keep up to 2 of these players (Votto, Pence, Victorino, B. Morrow) based on where I drafted them last year. If I keep 2, it costs me a 10th & 11th round draft pick. The other caveat is that any of these players I would retain rights for the next 2 years.

My initial thoughts are:
Votto - No
Victorino - Yes
Morrow - Yes (arm concerns scare me but potential in next 2 years could be great)
Pence - No

Other's thoughts?

I like Votto over Morrow...Votto hit .321 after the break last year and should be a monster in 2009. In that park, I reall look for him to have a bigtime season.

I like Votto and Pence over Victorino and Morrow. I could see Victorino over Pence, but don't keep Morrow over Votto, Votto is a player. Help with mine? viewtopic.php?t=371076

I've soured on Pence...I just don't see him as being a super talented player. He plays hard, but his swing it too rigid for me.

Hello,

I agree with the consensus on Votto, that is a player you really should look forward to keeping for the next two years. I also agree with your opinions on Morrow, so what I would think about is keeping both Votto and Morrow. I was never a Pence fan though, so I may be a little biased. Could you help me out on mine? viewtopic.php?t=371904

Thanks!

I like Votto and Victorino as well. I think what you see is pretty much what you get with Pence, although his discipline did improve a bit last year. I also think that Morrow has potential, but I think you could easily snag him in the draft again if you cut him loose. Votto is a guy I'm really high on this year, and Victorino finally has a spot in that offense all to himself. I see them both as top 50 guys by the end of the year. I see Pence somewhere around 90 or 100 and Morrow about the same.

I just picked Votto and Morrow in a h2h points draft. It is the first year, and Votto is a guy I am definitely thinking I will keep. I took Votto in the 6th and Morrow in the 14th.

Check mine out if you're feeling ambitious. (it's kinda long)
