How strictly do you follow rankings? I mean most rankings are made up by some guy who works for a website that you and I know more than. Especially after the top 20 guys how do they know who is better phillups or roberts lol.

I buy a couple magazines every year (Sporting News, Rotowire, etc.) and I pay little attention to their rankings, I use it more to get an idea of what to expect from certain players. Yahoo has Ian Kinsler ranked ahead of Utley for example, but I'd take Utley first EVERY time. I have a harder time believing Kinsler can A)Stay healthy for an entire year based on his history B)Put up the same numbers as he did last year. Utley is the safer player and I believe has a higher upside. So I make my own rankings.

I'm always very aware of rankings and ADPs, but I always trust myself more than anyone else. That way, I can only blame myself if I lose. It's tough to win a league if you are totally relying on the opinions of others.
