Apr 24 Wood once again did not get into the lineup on Thursday, marking three nights in a row that he hasn't played since his callup. According to manager Mike Scioscia, this has been by design, the Orange County Register reports.
Recommendation: Scioscia did suggest that Wood might play this weekend, but then again, the Angels will have to make another roster move to call up another pitcher. "We need situational hitting. We need on-base (percentage) to feed the middle of our lineup," Scioscia said when pressed – yet again Wednesday – on his decision to let Wood sit. "There are some things we're trying to bring along that our lineup needs above and beyond just power. Brandon's time is going to come. But right now, we've got some bats we're trying to bring along to get some continuity in our lineup beyond just the power aspect."
Looks like we might get our chance to see him this series, but still sounds meh. I'll be at the games this weekend so it would be a nice surprise to see him live.

0-3 to 4-3. Worst choke in the history of baseball. Enough said.

That pic actually made me laugh out loud, well played.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

Now Robb Quinlan gets the start at DH, did Wood get it on with scioscia's daughter or something?

You know what for? He was night putting, just putting at night with the fifteen-year-old daughter of the Dean...

He started today, went 1/4 with a run. He was also robbed of an extra base hit by Beltre..
I think if he started full time he'd be valuable, but I expect him to go back down to the minors..you can't keep a prospect as a reserve player for too long.

This looks like a classic pissing match between Angels management and Scioscia.
Management: (taking off their top hats and throwing down their money bags) We don't care what you say, our offense is putrid right now and we need some pop. We're calling up Wood!
Scioscia: (lower lip quivering, pouting) I don't care if you DO call him up, I'm not playing him for a second even if it means starting that little leaguer Izturis at DH!
