I'm in a 5x5 head2head keeper league and i need to make my decision on my pitchers
I've narrowed my keepers to 3 but I can only keep 2
Scott Kazmir, Joe Nathan and Jonathan Broxton
I've been leaning towards nathan and broxton... but is it wise to keep 2 closers rather than a starter and a closer? Should i go youth and let nathan go? I need some help cuz i must announce my keepers before the draft which starts tonight at 7.
Can you post your whole staff, JIC? Maybe something else pops out.
But as it stands, I'd have to say I dislike 2 closers more than I dislike Kazmir, so I get Kaz/Nathan.
Youth is nice, but the #1 player at the position for the last 3 years, and possibly the next 3 years is a better bet.
Sadly to say... Kazmir was my only ace... I also had Volquez, Lilly, Buehrle and the others aren't even worth mentioning. I had closers. Nathan, Broxton and Soria are ones worth a look for possible keeper candidates. SPs available in the draft are:
Ervin Santana Rich Harden Carlos Zambrano Javier Vasquez Erik Bedard Scott Baker
Should I keep Nathan and Broxton, or Soria, then draft an SP with my 1st pick?
Between Broxton and Kazmir, it would depend on who else would be available for drafting. It certainly would be nice to have Saves locked down going into a draft, but at the same time it's hard to win leagues by punting wins and strikeouts.
