Who To Keep?

Im in a 10 team, 5x5 basic scoring, head to head league. We get to keep one batter and one pitcher from our previous years team. The players either have to had been drafted after the 8th round or claimed off waivers. Which players would be my best choices?

Batters:
Ryan Doumit, C
Dustin Pedroia, 2B
Ryan Theriot, SS
Elijah Dukes, OF
Aubrey Huff, 1B
Jermaine Dye, OF
Joey Votto, 1B

Pitchers:
Francisco Liriano
Kevin Slowey
Joakim Soria
Jose Valverde
Ricky Nolasco

Im leaning toward Pedroia and Liriano but I also think Votto wouldnt be a bad choice either

Votto and Slowey wouldn't be bad choices. But I think you have it right with Pedroia and Liriano.
