Travis Ishikawa / Gordon Beckham

What can you tell me about either of these guys? Looking for a potential CI or MI with upside that could see regular at bats. Both seem to be raking in spring training. Thoughts? Projections?

I think:

Ishikawa is a .269 avg batter, maybe with 4-8 steals in him. Generiously, I say he hits somewhere around 21 HRs, 58-65 RBIs and 48-50 Rs. He's similar to Pedro Feliz when he played for the Giants a few years back. Good defensivly but spotty as a hitter.

Is Beckham potentially breaking camp with the WSox? He has much more relative upside than Ishikawa.

Ishikawa will make the opening day roster I believe, but does not have the upside of Beckham. Beckham, however, may not make the roster. Kind of up in the air, but the latest words are suggesting he will be, at 2B. If both make the opening day roster, I'd want Beckham.

If Beckham is up, he is much more attractive than Ishikawa.

The Sox have been playing Beckham at SS lately. It seems to me that he'd be getting time at second if he was on track start the season in the bigs. That's a shame IMO; he has much more upside than any other 2B the Sox may use.
