Two picks:

Baker - You need somone else besides Flores, and Baker has a lot of upside.

Lohse - SP must be getting pretty thin in the draft based on the options left. You need somone reliable in case one of your top two go down, hence I pass on Smoltz given your current team makeup. Smoltz a nice risk/reward pick if he's still around in round 20/21.

Lohse will give you 200IP guaranteed, and I think he can repeat his ERA and WHIP from a year ago. St Louis seems to think so , signed him for 4 years. I think the key is the GB/FB ratio which was 1.43 last year. He had a simiar ratio in 2005. Duncan has seemed to help him fix that and get it back to where he can have success.

Lyon is a solid value pick there, but you are desperately thin on pitching.

Anderson might not even get drafted, who knows.

I'd go with Baker and Smoltz (you should be able to stash him on your DL so you'll have an option there for the first half while he's on the DL.

Baker is a no brainer here. he is a lot like the guy he replaced Brad Radke but slightly more upside.

At that point, I don't see anyone with his upside available to you (based on your listing).

What other catchers are available? Is Clement gone?

The Baker he is looking at is John Baker the C for the Marlins, not Scott Baker.

Ahh.

Well then, I'd probably just take pitching and go wtih Lyon and Smoltz. Then with the free spot add an upside catcher. Everyone is down on JR Towles this year. I think he'll improve. The kid has 20 homer upside and 15-20 SB potential. He's a poor man's Martin.

I wouldn't take another 'upside' catcher right now unless its him.

You will have Hanny, Lyon, and Mo. That is way better than anyone else have. One of these makes good trade bait to upgrade at catcher. The rest of your team looks very good for a league so deep.

I'd be trying to acquire another 3b also to stash on your bench. What 3b are available in a pinch right now?

What SP are available?

You can get SP later.

Target guys like Kawakami, Maholm, Adenhart (who will start the year in Angels' rotation with Santana out who knows how long), Pelfrey, Colon, Pavano, A. Reyes (CLE) who represent late round value.

Are any of these guys available?
