Rios actually regressed last yr, while Kemp is just starting to ramp up.
I read somewhere that the Jays changed their batting coach late in the season, and it was after that change that Rios began to hit with more power. I cannot remember where I read that; do any Jay fans know anything about this?

Matt Kemp has waaaaaay more upside than Rios. I think Kemp's lowest projection down the road is about even with Rios' highest projection. Both guys have talent, but Kemp is about as talented as it gets. I can't really think of a player with a higher ceiling.
So where are you guys taking Kemp? I have the 4th pick in a 10 team H2H redraft, which means I would have to take him at overall pick # 24, otherwise I do not think he would fall to my next pick at #37. How high are you willing to reach for him?

#36ish is right about where Kemp is going so he might be there for you at #37. Probably not but I wouldn't sweat it and I definitely wouldn't reach for him at #24 because there will definitely be better OF options and options in general on the board.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Thanks Amazinz. Right after I posted that question, I realized the ramifications of what I was asking. To even consider taking him at #24 would be insane, considering that is Manny, Fielder, Morneau territory. I was so focused on that one situation, I didn't was neglecting the big picture! The brain is starting to get a little fried!

I have been saying this for two years. I totally agree
