Need Input On My League's Scoring System and How to Value

Postby 7thagent » Thu Mar 12, 2009 11:09 pm

What is valuable to win my league? Which types of players? Do I look for consistency because it is head to head?

How do I look differently at MDP and ADP because they are mostly for roto leagues and head to head systems many times have points? Do I value pitching more?

I am in a 14 team h2h category keeper league. We keep 5 guys. Thus, the first round in the draft would be the 6th round, essentially, in a 14 team draft, the 71st pick onward.

Each week each team plays 4 other teams. To win a game one must have won more categories.

Categories:
hitting: TotalBases, SBs, RBIs, Runs, AVG, OBP, Doubles + Triples
pitching: Ks, ERA, WHIP, Innings, Holds, Saves, Wins

We have the following positions:
hitting: 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, C, DH, OF, OF, OF, UTIl
pitching: SP, SP, SP, SP, SP, RP, RP, RP, RP

How are my keepers in the context of my league's format? Who Should I try to trade for or trade? Should I trade for draft position? Or should I stay put?

My keepers currently:
Soto
Hanley
Haren
Curtis Granderson
Kinsler

Who else do you have? I imagine you have someone more worth keeping than Granderson? I guess his triples help, but if Doubles and Triples are weighted the same ... triples aren't as important.

Really need to see the rest of your roster.

Those are my 5 keepers. We only keep 5. Which types of players hsould i draft? is pitching more important than in a 5x5 roto league? is consistentcy more important?

Should I trade granderson.
