I assume that this is in the late first round, so I would have to say Rollins. You should be able to pick Utley (or Pedrioia or Kinsler) in the second round.

should have mentioned it's a keeper league and Dustin and Ian are off the table. Utley and Rollins are both best available at their positions. I am keeping Alexei, but want to make sure I have strength at MI

That's a tough one. I'd probably take Rollins just because SS is so scarce, and you're keeping Alexei

Utley. You can get a good ss in 2-3 rounds. Someone along the lines of Jeter, Tulo, Young, Drew.

good luck

Sorry. The shortstops I mentioned are going in rounds 6-9 in most mocks i've been in. My point was with Kinsler and Pedroia kept, you really only have Utley, Roberts and Phillips left. After that 2b really drops off.

good luck

I agree. For me, it's Rollins.

If it's between these two it's a tough decision.....but, as long as reports are good that Utley is swinging the bat without discomfort and is on track to start the season or at most miss a couple of weeks.....I'm taking Utley. After the numbers Rollins put up last year (other than his steals) i'm a little scared....just a little though.

Tough call to say the least, you can't go wrong either way. But I think the talent isn't as deep at 2B as it is over at SS.

I would go with Utley.

You can't go wrong with either but I'm going with Chase Utley as he's the definition of consistency. You can bank on him posting 100/30/100/15/.300 year in and year out.
