Postby A's_fan » Thu Mar 12, 2009 10:48 am

I was offered iwamura, hanley ramirez, and hafner in exchange for my uggla, bj upton, and vladdy. I'm leaning toward rejecting but any help is appreciated

That is too tough to tell without seeing the rest of your roster.

I would do this, even with Reyes already residing at SS. SS is so shallow and OF is relatively deep. If you lock up Hanley and Reyes, you screw the rest of your league at the SS position which in and of itself is very valuable.

My only question is what type of OFers are avaiable in your auction/draft? Obviously you'll move Drew to OF, but what other types are available? If there is some decent depth/talent available, I'd definitely do this deal if I'm you... If, on the other hand, I'm going to be looking picking up guys like Rocco Baldelli and Ryan Church to fill out my OF, I probably wouldn't do it.

Good luck.

type of league - redraft, keeper, dyanasty?
scoring used? - 5x5? roto or H2H?

Does Hafner have only Util eligibility?

I like Hanley but this trade leaves alot of holes in your starting lineup? Whos on your bench?

I also might add if you have to move Hanley to UTILITY where in the world can you play Hafner, on top of all that, you won't have a 2b either.

Value wise if you had startable positions for all these guys, it would be a GREAT deal for you, but since Hafner would rot away on your bench I can't see a reason to do this to be honest.
