Orange-Tinted Glasses

Ok, I admit that I am a huge O's fan and therefore very excited about Wieters. I am in a AL-only keeper league and have the first overall pick because my team was horrible last year and finished in last place. We get to keep 10 players from the previous year. So with the first pick I think the logical pick is Sabathia (changed leagues) but I really want Wieters. I just wanted verification that I was being biased and that I should definitely pick Sabathia.

Here is my list of players:

Keepers
1. Chris Davis
2. Jhonny Peralta
3. Alexei Ramirez
4. Johnny Damon
5. J.D. Drew
6. Paul Konerko
7. Mike Aviles

8. Andy Sonnanstine
9. Jeremy Guthrie
10. Bobby Jenks

I understand that you want to pick up your fav teams star prospects....but taking him over Sabathia would be the wrong decision. C.C. should be the # 1 pitcher in AL only.

too early for an unproven catcher. you could easily trade CC for a lesser SP and weiters

I think you have to take Sabathia there but I don't think you're being a homer for sweating the decision. Wieters is going to have insane value in AL Keepers.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

It's always a good idea to try to get in early on a young potential stud, but more importantly you should be playing TO WIN THIS YEAR, so take CC.
