I send: Jason Heyward

I receive: Mike Moustakas, Austin Jackson, and Jacob McGee

Would you make this trade? Heyward has a higher ceiling than the other three in my opinion, but obtaining the other three high-potential prospects certainly make this deal enticing. Would you possibly ask for Niemann, Sanchez, Ervin or Jered?

Well you have a pretty good core 14 right now, which makes me not care about getting the 2 other guys as much. Also I wonder if you'd keep the other two anyways. McGee could be converted to RP, as it wont be the easiest thing making the Rays rotation. Also I think it will take some time before Jackson puts up meaningful stats worth keeping him. Thus I'll go with keeping Heyward, better prospect/ceiling ... with just 12 teams you should hold onto the best guys.

I forgot to mention that in addition to the 14 MLB keepers, we are allowed to keep up to 8 rookie-eligible on our farm. This is a keeper that grows every year to become a dynasty 5 years down the road.

I am considering countering his offer with:

My Heyward, Detwiler and 3rd round prospect draft pick for his Moustakas, Jackson, and David Price

A) would this offer have any chance?
B) is this a deal you would consider making?

On the first trade, I would take Heyward. As for the second trade, it is much better but I wonder if he will accept.

Even with keeping 8 through rookie eligibility, thats still not much time so my opinion doesn't change much. On the 2nd offer well, good luck on him trading you Price alone for that ... not likely to happen.
