Kemp and Markakis are close, it depends on what you need category-wise on your squad. They project to be close to equal in R, HR, and RBI... but Kemp has a good shot at stealing about 30 bases, while Markakis will be more in the range of 15. But Markakis is expected to hit .300 while Kemp is supposed to be closer to .280 from most of the projections I've seen.
If I had to decide right now I'd go with Kemp because he's in a more reliably good line-up, but really I could see going either way.
Rios is ok but I think he's a cut below Kemp and Markakis.
Wells doesn't excite me at all, I don't think he brings as much to the table as the others in this group.
I think that Markakis is one of the most overvalued picks in the draft.
I'd rate 'em
Kemp Markakis Rios Wells
I also think that Rios is overvalued.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.
Really? Markakis barely beat Kemp in jacks last year and Kemp smoked Markakis in steals. I guess you gotta give a slight edge to Markakis in BA, although I think Kemp could easily be a .300 hitter this year.
It seems to me that slight possible advantage that Markakis has in BA is wiped out by the huge SB advantage that kemp has.

Markakis - .300, 20-25 HR, 200+ R + RBI, 10-15 SB Kemp - .285 (his BAPIP the last two years is extremely high, expect a dip in BA), 15-25 HR, 190 R+RBI, 25-40 SB
Rios
Vernon
Personally although Markakis is a tad bit better then Kemp, it would be based on team need...do you need the BA or the SB more?

Markakis >>>>> Kemp but I tend to rate good hitters much higher over good athletes.
