I like Deal B better just because I think Shields is an ace and I am no big on Slowey. I like Johnson though but deal B is better for you.

I like Slowey a lot but I'd trade JJ & Slowey. Shields should have a good win total and ERA this season and JJ is on your bench and the Marlins will probably stink this year so I'd trade Slowey & JJ.

Trade JJ and Slowey and then you still keep an ace level pitcher in Shields while also gaining a monster, young OF in Bruce, which would really be a nice upgrade to your lineup, making great instead of just good.
