Detroit- Lyon, Zumaya, Rodney Seattle- Lowe, Walker Oakland- Zieler, Devine Baltimore- Sherrill, Ray St. Louis - Perez, Motte Tampa Bay- Percival, Wheeler Colorado- Street, Corpas
Bolded who I think closes out the gate. Devine is the choice from this bunch, he'll usually go around the 15th in a 12-teamer. Check out the 2009 Closers Thread should be a nice help as well.
Hal·la·day, n. 1. every fifth day in Philadelphia. 2. a day of rest for the bullpen. 3. innings eater. 4. doc. 5. ace.
Thanks for the replies and the link to the closer thread! I did find the other thread helpful, but after reading 17 pages of information distilled over a month, I'll humbly say that my question for the closers for these particular teams cuts to the chase. Just name the current closers here!...again, any help is appreciated!

These are the guys who will probably start the season as closers as of now. With that being said, Sherill could be replaced as soon as May 1st. If Lyon has a bas couple of weeks, we could see either Zumaya or Rodney. Percvial is coming of back surgery and could be in and out of the lineup all year. Perez has the stuff to be a closer, but LaRussa is not sure if he's up for the job. Seattle is a mess and anyone they have in the closers role is just keeping the job warm for josh Fields, Seattles's #1 pick last year. Devine has the best stuff of anyone on this list, but you would have to carry Zieler as a handcuff, since the A's will be using them as a committee to start the season and Devine has already been shut down once already this spring with elbow tendonitis. Corpas has been lights out so far in spring training, and Street has sucked something awful so far.
So for right now I would say that Devine & Corpas are your best bets and Ray is the player most likely to get and keep the closers job after the season starts. Hope this helps.

I think of all the RP, Lyon and Devine are the safest to hold onto their jobs. Lyon is a flyball pitcher with little K upside who's moving into a park that has become more homerun hitter-friendly in recent years. You'll probably see a situation like last year where Lyon loses grip on closing duties to open the way for either Rodney or Zumaya. Devine has the best stuff over Ziegler to close and the A's staff know it. What's noteworthy here is Devine has struggled with injuries before (elbow tendinitis so far this Spring too). Percival is also "safe" as far as job security goes, though in his 40's, he can get hurt which will open the door for Dan Wheeler or maybe Grant Balfour to pick up saves.
Sherrill has a good chance to hold onto the job unless Sherrill really doesn't do well. The O's want to see Chris Ray settle back into relief duty as smoothly as possible in order for them to slot Ray back in (I think Ray closes eventually). Seattle's closer situation is too early to call. I'll say Corpas is closing based off Street's poor Spring and conversely Corpas' good Spring. However, the Rockies might want to shop Street before the deadline, preferably as a closer to inflate his value, which could mean Corpas' leash is short. I think Perez is still the guy in St. Louis because he has better stuff than Jason Motte, though the latter shows better efficiency at this point.
I'm hoping that Corpas closes out games for the Rockies, I picked him up on one of my teams. I heard so far he's in the lead for their closers job. Ziegler I think might start off the year closing for the A's but Devine will be closing games for them by midseason I would think. I actually think Miguel Batista will be the closer for the Mariners and not either Mark Lowe or Tyler Walker, at least that's what I've heard recently. I'm not sure Percival has a lot left in the tank and he's very injury prone nowadays so I would probably draft Wheeler as a handcuff just in case, the Rays will once again be very good though. Hope that helps out some!!
