I don't agree with that mindset, but no, it was nothing like yours.
There's an old expression about two wrongs that covers me even if I were wrong on the post that set you off.
Bad form, bad form.
Bad trade, bad trade.
There's one thing left for you to do, and seeing as that's unlikely, good night. Next time you want to trade down, just even it out a little. Organizations that bleed value die in the end, however successful they've been in the past.
