Keeper Advice!

Postby c95cruizing » Wed Mar 11, 2009 6:54 pm

I'm in a 10 team H2H, 6 Keeper league

Stat Categories: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP, SLG, W, L, SV, K, ERA, WHIP

My current players I am considering are: Miguel Cabrera, Josh Hamilton, Johan Santana, Matt Kemp, Brandon Phillips, Brandon Webb, and Matt Holliday. I need to pick 6 out of these 7.

Locks: Miguel Cabrera, Josh Hamilton, Johan Santana.

Matt Kemp: He is young and his potential is through the roof. I think he is a must.
Brandon Webb: SOLID starter. I don't expect his value to increase, but his steady production in all pitching categories make him a great second starter besides johan.
Phillips: For a second basemen he has great value. A lock for 20/20
Holliday: If he was still in colorado this would be an absolute no brainer... His steals, BA, RBI, Homer, and runs are going to decline, but is still projected to record possibly a 100/20/100 .300 season.

in summary: I am leaning towards keeping Miguel, J hamilton, Johan, Kemp... Since my league has 7 categories of batting and 6 of pitching I am not sure if I should drop webb and keep both hitters... Still leaning towards keeping webb for some reason if that is the case phillips or holliday?

I need help. The more I think about it the more stressed HAHA i get.

Thanks to anybody that responds

I wouldn't keep Webb out of those guys but if you have decided to keep him then I would keep Holliday over Phillips.

Plain and Simple:

-Cabrera
-Hamilton
-Johan
-Holliday
-Kemp
-Webb

*Phillips is a nice option @2b but this 6 is clearly superior

This is a no brainer. Do not keep Webb.

seems like the consensus would be not to keep webb right now. Thanks for the help guys.

This is my third year playing fantasy baseball. It has been an interesting journey indeed and although I've always been a baseball fan... fantasy baseball has broadened my knowledge of baseball by leaps and bounds just because in order to compete you got to know so much.

I just signed up for the forum so hopefully I'll get a lot of useful knowledge.

Peace
